I am 15 years old on January 14 2008, so when is the soonest possible I can begin driving if I don't let any time go to waste? My calculations came out to around when I turn sixteen, but I'm just wondering if its any sooner or any later.

Oh yeah, I live in California in the United States, if that information is at all relevant.

Thanks :D

  1. You can get your permit when you are 15.5 years old (Yes 15 and a half).  You can get your license when you are 16.  The permit lets you drive with your parents or other adult over 25 (legally).  http://www.dmv.ca.gov/dl/dl_info.htm#PER...

  2. you can drive on your 16th birthday, but thats only if you get your permit on the exact day you turn 15 1/2

  3. You can get a permit at 15 1/2.

  4. You got to pass the learner's test at the California's Department of Motor Vehicles. You'll want to get the test manual  from there and start studying it so You can get your learner's permit and when You get that permit after You pass the tests then You should be able to drive then right away with a licensed driver siting in the Passenger's seat.
