Between Monday and Tuesday. However, it's not yet determined if the storm will indeed hit NOLA. It's forecasted to make landfall somewhere between the FL "panhandle" and South-Eastern Texas. It looks like it's headed toward NOLA, but these storms can veer off their projected path.

The storm (if it hits there) will be 10x worse than Katrina. NOLA did not get "hit" by Katrina. The levee's broke. There is a huge difference. The MS Gulf Coast was hit by Katrina. The levee's broke in LA, and caused the flooding. If this storm comes on shore as a Category 3 or better, the levee's are going to break again, NOLA will flood again, and they will have damage from an actual hurricane (wind, down trees, tornados, etc.).

It has just been on the news, some time over the next 36 hours.

The evacuation of New Orleans is going well but the mayor has told those who choose to stay behind that they are 'on their own'.

I'm not sure, but I think it's in the next 48 hours, not today though, on the news last night they said some people weren't evacuating until today :)

EDIT: Well I waited up til 2am for the taxi but it never came :( I had to have just the one stamp I had left in my purse on my own lol
