  1. It won't happen soon. We're in a recession. The government just won't SAY so.

  2. i agree

  3. It's hard for me too with a truck that takes 91.00u.s.dollars to fill up once a week ..

  4. ya dont expect it to go down untill every ones pockets are empty. our enemies control the very thing we have turned into our blood. bush has nothing to do with gas prices...hahahhaha gas gasp hhahhahhahahahahahhhhaaaaaa                        gasp

  5. As soon as Americans stop wasting it.

  6. I stopped driving

  7. Unfortunately we've probably seen the end of cheap gas - but then we're already lagging behind the rest of the world. In many place in Europe, they pay as much (or more) per liter as we do per gallon - and there are close to 4 liters in a gallon.

If gas prices are having that much of an affect on you, then you should find ways to not use so much gas. Find a job closer to home. Use public transportation. Trade in for a more fuel efficient car. Carpool or take a bike. Reduce unnecessary trips. Even little things like walking into the restaurant rather than waiting in the drive-in can make a difference over time.

  8. I suppose no one understands market forces anymore. When only the US used huge amounts of energy, it was not straining the world production capability. Indeed, it created the production capability so that producing nations could obtain our dollars.

Now, however, other major economic powers are using the supply, and production is not increasing as fast as demand. For awhile, we will be in a stressed market, where the highest bidder gets the best oil, so prices will go up.

Eventually, production will catch up, or a viable and available power source will be found, and oil prices will tank. It's all in supply and demand.

  9. gas will only go down when alterenitive fuel cars are the majority, or when the compines take as much as they can hold, or not at all (some compines only buy half as much fuel as they can hold giving them a "vaild" reason to charge more. often though they'll skam independent buyers into paying half as much money to them just becuase they're not a mining company, but becuase the oil gets mixed in with all the oil from the professiel mining company they "have" to charge full price for the entire lot becuase of the "expensive oil".

  10. Get a good education and get a job that pays a decent salary, then you won't care. Nobody said driving was inexpensive.

  11. The company owners are money hungry. They made more in the last quarter than they did in the last decade... if they're turning that kind of profit, they can afford to lower the prices.

  12. I know I hate filling up my tank. It was $3.15 today. It will finally go donw next year when we kick Bush out of office! I am sure it will go down in the next week. Usually it does not stay high for more then a week.

  13. I agree. It is in the best interests of the Congress and the nation to do something to make gasoline inexpensive....because it would mean more pocket money for the people, and the people would find ways to spend it and stimulate the economy.

More than two-thirds of the American economy is based on the strength of the retail sector, so it behooves the Congress and of course the President to make sure Americans are not overspending on necessities such as gasoline so that they can afford to buy all the stuff that makes the economy tick...TV sets, stereos, toys, clothes, appliances, etc.

I am in favor of opening up the Alaskan oil fields for gasoline production. The environment is going to h**l in a handbasket anyway, because of global warming; we might as well get some use out of it.

  14. oil prices dipping plus thanksgiving rush over so will drop somewhat over winter bush may release strategic reserves or pressure his saudi oil buddies to drop prices ahead of next election to help republican candidate, Real relief will gome jan 2009 when the oilgarch is expelled and there is serious efort to look at ethanol hydrogen other alternatives

  15. it not be going down it will keep go up unless someone did a nation boycott it will have a impact on the gasoline company and that will make the gas a little bit cheaper

  16. good question... I have a jeep liberty; 15 mpg...at $3.09

  17. it'll fluctuate.  but it'll never go down and stay there.

    = [

coming from someone who's not working and has to drive to class everyday...

  18. Very scary, you are old enough to drive and yet you still write like a 3rd grader.  I hope these gas prices keep you off the road.

  19. I agree it is too high. It ought to cost about 80 cents a gallon!

  20. Soon, I hope, the oil prices have dropped about 7 dollars per barrel in the last two days.  Economist's are predicting a large drop soon so we can only hope they are right.
