This will help explain some about Yahoo and the transition to a new network

It is basically that Yahoo is want to have everyone using one ID for all of Yahoo services and this will help because we do not have to remember different passwords and names to log in to yahoo services. You keep one ID and one password in all of Yahoo services. This will be great.

We do not know what is taking 360 place. We do know it is not Mash

We also know that it will be like 360 and some of Mash.

We also do not know when the new network will be here. Hopefully soon.We a also know that 360 was Beta and Yahoo was having to fix some thing on it everyday.

The transition is causing bugs in 360 and Yahoo is not fixing the bugs because all their resources are into getting the new net work ready

  2. UPDATE: Exactly. There's no point in e-mailing, because any updates on this issue will be in the blog. You will get the same automated response each time you try. And the Y!360 team blog hasn't been updated since October 24, so there is no "official" update on this subject. We are all in the same boat, so please be patient or move on to another service.

They said changes would happen in "early 2008". In my opinion, that means anytime between January and the end of March 2008. Keep checking the 360 team blog for any "official" updates on the situation. They also said that they wouldn't provide updates on the blog for "several" months. I'm guessing we're still in the "several" month period.

Y!360 is transitioning into a different social networking platform in early 2008. There has not been a more specific date announced on the blog yet, so it could happen any time between January and end of March 2008. Yahoo is trying to centralize its profiling services - Y!Mash, Y!360, and the regular Members profile - into one. See http://blog.360.yahoo.com/product_360 for more details. You can also access this blog by clicking the "Yahoo! 360 News" link on the upper right corner of your 360 space. However, they are no longer fixing bugs related to Y!360, so there's no point in trying to contact them about it.

So, your choice is to be patient regarding this situation or move to another social networking service. I'm waiting this out.

  3. It is really difficult to maintain patience with this site lately. With all the stuff in the news this week about the layoffs taking place within the yahoo company. The loss of much advertising revenue to Google is also in the news this week. They are having a major shake up and shake out with the entire Yahoo company and sadly it is affecting each of its member in a bad way.

I have the the link to the Yahoo!360 Product Blog that was our last communication from the new man in charge of our part of yahoo here.. His name is Matt Warburton and this is the last release of any information that anyone has received officially.

Here is the link.. please go and read it for yourself and be sure to notice the overwhelming response to it that occured .. negative response I might add..
