When it comes to keeping mice out of drawers and closets, which works better, cedar balls or moth balls?

Can moth balls and cedar balls be used if you have cats?

i used cedar balls and it seemed to work plus they smell better.   i was also told to use dryer sheets but all they did was chew them up.

if you have found holes that they are getting in through, try putting steel wool or crumpled up tinfoil in them.

You may also want to try 100% peppermint oil (not peppermint extract or other) as a way to deter mice from going where you don't want them.  I haven't tried it myself, but I've read that it's an effective way to get rid of mice.  Their noses are extremely sensitive and the scent of peppermint oil is so strong that they can't handle it.  Plus it smells a lot better than your alternatives.
