  1. Gullible about what?

It is a weak argument to call someone gullible because they don't agree with you. If someone cannot express their own ideals or beliefs in a cogent and compelling manner, them maybe they need to reevaluate those ideals or beliefs.

If you have spent anytime on YA, you know that name-calling is much more popular than fact finding.

  2. Its not just politics. Ignorance is a badge of honor in America now. Just look around the schools, your job, your communities and read some of these responses and you know that we are in serious trouble for the future.

  3. Gullible people are not easy to fool because they are stupid, they are easy to fool because they think they are always right.

They parrot ideas and concepts that they learned years ago, sometimes incrementally, without ever re-examining them to see if they still apply, or if they even still believe them.

  4. People are gullible because they don't want to be educated or know the truth.  It's easier to just believe what ever comes along that sounds good.  Hitler sounded good to the Germans before WWII.  Stalin sounded good to the Russians, Mussolini sounded good to the Italians, and history is full of smooth talking people that just sounded good and everyone bought the lies they told.

  5. it seems that people want their side to win... more than they care about the truth...
