depends what you mean by radio, i like and love cobra radio equipment i find it very reliable and fantastic range and can take a good knock without falling to bits.

if you mean a radio like what you get in the house and lisern to music on well i would have to say Aiwi, but that is just my choice

Pioneer are generally regarded as making some extremely good tuners for home Hi-Fi use.

Like many of these so-called mid-fi (?) companies, they make more expensive top-end gear alongside their more run-of-the-mill equipment.

I have a Quad tuner which is pretty nice, however, Meridian and Naim make some nice stuff as does Roksan.

By the way, any of the mainstream stuff like Sony, JVC, Pioneer, Aiwa, Technics/Panasonic, Yahama, Bose, Denon, Rotel, Samsung, Harmon Kardon, etc. is mid-fi, not hi-fi.
