When it rains, why does the temperature feel warmer?

  1. if it rains on a hot day it starts to evaperate or turn to steam when this happens it fells humid or muggy. this makes it fell warmer.


  2. When there is rain,the falling rain makes the air near the surface cooler and making it also to condense into water droplets.This condensation releases latent heat  of condensation(as the change of matter is from a  higher stage to a lower stage).Hence we feel warmer.

  3. When it rains ,the humidity is very high; this makes it feel warm.

  4. In a dry climate, like the Texas Panhandle, just the opposite occurs.  No matter how hot the day is, the rain here is COLD.

  5. As it evaporates it turns the air very humid which sits like a blanket above the ground and doesn't allow heat to be carried away from the surface of the body like usual.
