  1. That's the best time to do it! I love watching scary movies with my friends on nights like that!

  2. It's the best time. It adds that little extra tension to the pictures in your head.

You'll remember the book a whole lot longer too.

I'll never forget 'The Exorcist' I read it over thirty years ago, on my own, in a holiday chalet, off season, so it was pretty much deserted and there was a mouse in the wall who seemed to move on cue.

Even now I can visualize the whole night.

Turn off your PC and go for it.

  3. Yes, and if the electricity goes out I use a flashlight or three candles.

  4. Perfect time, for that, let's face it that was when Mary Shelley, wrote

"Frankenstein" that was in the 1850s, or there about, and it still is a scary story.

Me, I'm not so sure, lol But it sure would help with the right atmosphere.

  5. yeah, it all depends on what kind of person you are. I read a lot of scary books on stormy nights and i haven't had any problems. Just as long as the lights don't go out you should be fine but just in case keep a book light or flashlight close by,

  6. It depends on whether or not I am alone. As long as my dog is with me, I'm fine. If I'm alone and without my dog, I'd choose something more uplifting.

Of course, scary is not necessarily my thing.

  7. Hmm, I don't know. I'd probably try but end up wimping out when the book gets to a too-scary part. xD but I don't really read scary books anyway.

  8. I can always read Stephen King... the storm just adds to the atmosphere.

  9. heck yes.

im a huge coward by the way

  10. yes with the dog hiding under the blanket
