When joining a Yahoo group is it free?

I dunno if its a well known fact, but is joining a yahoo group free of charge?

Joining a Yahoo group is free as far as I know.. Yahoo users are the people creates it. You too may create one!

Of course it's free. It is free to start, join, post message, or do anything on a yahoo group. There are premium services which may have to be subscribed, but all group activities are free for users.

Even since it was still MakeList.com and even when it became eGroups.com until it was purchased by Y!, the use of Y!Groups has been and is still free, meaning you can join & use without Y! charging you for its web-based service/community.

But if you're thinking of the overhead involved in connecting to & accessing Y!Groups: electricity, ISP charges, mobile phone charges, modem rentals, internet cafe fee, pre-paid cards, etc. then suddently it's no longer really free.

Yes, one of those few things still  free.  I started my first group in 1999 when they were called clubs.  It's been great to watch it grow with members sharing photos and information.  Many of our members have met each other and became friends. It's a great service provided by Yahoo.

Yahoo Groups is (and has always been) completely free of charge.  (I've been in some since August 2001.)
