  1. No, you don't need to.  A majority of the vitamins and minerals are in the skin.

    However, some people do peel the skins, especially if the skins are "dirty".  The skin can discolor the juice making it look unappealing.


  2. Absolutely not.  Just wash them and hack off the ends!

  3. No, but make sure you wash them well first.

  4. I prefer to because there's sometimes these string-like roots that remain, also that's the surface that's in the ground and I just get grossed out easily, being a germaphobe.
