The woman you're talking about is Yugao Uzuki. She was Hayate Gekko's lover. Hayate was killed by Baki [the sensei of the Sand Sibs] and she promised to avenge his death.

She was once in an ANBU team with Kakashi, so that shows their relationship with each other.

She plays a very small role, so she isn't of much importance...

her name is Rin. she is obito's friend from childhood when they were being trained by the 4th hokage and she wants to avenge the 3rd and obito ...she was one of the 4th student along with kakashi and obito.

I think she want to avenge the death of the fourth hokage. But I don't know....I haven't saw that episode in such a long time! So I could be wrong. I am wrong.

she was trying to avenge her lover (hayate's death)
