When learning to drive can you drive a van i.e. transit on L plates with your provisonal licence?

i am startin 2 learn 2 drive after loosing my full lisence to bad health and was wondering if you can drive a van on 'L' plates once learning

  1. Yes you can learn to drive in anything up to a 7.5 ton non articulated truck


  2. If you have had your license taken away because of a medical condition then you cannot drive, period.

  3. Yes providing you are in the vehicle with someone who has a LGV License and is over 21.

  8. You can drive anything up to 3.5 tonnes with someone who has held a valid  full licence for 3 years. Make sure you are insured though. They don't need to hold a LGV licence.

  9. Yes, most vans are under 3.5 tonnes, which means you can drive it.  3.5-7.5 needs an LGV, but just about any van can be driven by a learner.
