Hello when leaving Nigeria is there a fee called "basic Travelers Allowance" the amount $1,000.00 dollars to any visitor exiting the country. There is a young lady there that keeps tell me this as well as her pass port has expired there and the cost of exiting the country is 1,400.00. Now I know this all seems like a lot of money and is this a scam to take funds from me. I have sent her a ton of money and I do feel I have been taken here but love to know the truth for my own sanity........Please any info is so helpful and you can reach me at lelandjs2008@yahoo.com Thank you so much for your help and very truely yours leland stanford

  1. I am Nigerian but i have no idea honestly. But if the other guy said so, i guess its true but i doubt if it hold true for Nigerians themselves

  2. This is true, I have a loved one who is in Nigeria now because he had to go over to take care of family. And was told that he had to have so much money on him to come back. This is ridiculous! So he is stuck over there for now.

Needless to say it took all the money he had to get the tickets back to the states for him and child, I am not happy and neither is he. I will never travel to Nigeria.

  3. Dude, its a complete scam.  I had a Nigerian visitor this year several times already.  The passport costs about $70 to renew, and there is no such thing as a BTA.
