  1. I have always left the tip on the table.

  2. Hand it to the server. I've actually witnessed people take tips off the table...

  3. if i werent religous i would steal tops off the table. like when im aout to leave they will just be sitting there..."kevin, you know you want me!" and nobody ever lookes. well i just usally leave it on the table but once when i went to this japanese resturant i had to give it to the chef (cooked right in front of us)

  4. I always leave it on the table. They are a pretty honest bunch. They work hard for their money.

  5. i leave it on the table, or on a card. if you steal that you get nothing. i'm a server and have never had anyone steal my tip off  a table.  any tables after i leave... that's a different story

  6. i leave it on the table

  7. If you are in the United States... always leave your tip with the check. It is up to restaraunt policy to divide that as they see fit. If you are in a 4 diamond place... you'd better be tipping everyone that helps you.

  8. leave it on the table that way they're not expecting it and its better that way because they'll want u to come back.

  9. If it's a pretty nice restaurant I leave it at the table. If it's just an eatery to grab a quick bite(like Denny's) I try to get it directly to the waiter/waitress.

  10. We have done both. Depends on how busy she is. If its a place we go alot then we hand it to her. I am careful when I leave it on the table. Push it back so someone doesn't walk away with her tip.

  11. leav it on the table

  12. Ive never handed a tip to the server.  Always have left it on the table in the cover that they bring your credit to you in.  Im sure theft is an issue but not the customers responsibility to make sure it doesnt happen.  That would be up to management...
