  2. Hey Chrisypine ~

Well I always did, but 2 each their own as the saying goes.  I'd rather know my room & all the personal belongings in it were locked up tight & safe. Sure there were other dorm-mates who laughed @ me asking "What do you think someone's gonna steal your toothbrush or shoes, etc?" I'd just reply "No, but then I'll never have to find out will I?" Once your stuff is gone it's gone hun. :( Being safe starts by thinking safe. Especially if you haven't known your room-mate for a super long amt of time be weary cuz when stuff comes up missing it puts a real damper on your day 2 day life. And, unless you have a security system in your actual room you'll probably never be able to prove if he/she did in fact swipe your stuff anyway.  Get a key fob that looks like the telephone cord that way it can't drop outta your pocket into the toilet ;) Don't laugh cuz it happened to a friend of mine. She had to reach into the crapper & retrieve it...good thing we didn't have the automatic flush toilets back then or her room & main hall key would've been floatin' w/the fishes in Lake Erie :)

Have fun in college & be safe always!! :)
