  1. like, 9 ounces Bacardi, 15 ounces club soda

can be any measurement as long as it is 9 to 15 ratio, so you could do 9 cups bacardi, 15 cups club soda

  2. a part is a single measure of any size. it could be an ounce, a cup, whatever. the recipe will say 1 part of this 2 parts of that, etc.... and does not care how big the "part" is. It calling for a ratio.

  3. that means lets say 9 cups rum to 15 cups club soda , the "part" is what ever measuring device you are using it could be a cup, pint ,quart, a pot , a pitcher ......

  4. well you add 9 (insert measurement here) of rum and 15 (same measurement) of the club soda...

if you want 24 cups of it, then sure! use cups.

or if you want a cup (roughly) use 90ml rum and 150ml of the soda.

9 parts to 15 parts is like a 9:15 ratio.

to get the desired size of drink and proportions needed...

X=(required volume of drink)/(total number of parts)

in this case the number of parts is 24.

you then have 9X of rum and 15X of soda.

  5. Here is a method that will work for any receipe.

9 parts rum and 15 parts soda

Add them together...that makes 24 parts....

If you are using ounces and let one part be one ounce that will be 24 ounces when you finish.  If this is too much but 12 ounces total would be about right then use 1 part to be 1/2 ounce

so the rum would be 9 (1/2 ounces)  or 4 1/2 ounces

and the soda would be 15 (1/2 ounces) or 7 1/2 ounces

of course the arithmetic can be come more complicated but in most cases you can approximate or use a calculator and change them to decimal measure.

  6. 9 is a little lmore than  half of 15. So in the cup or whatever your using do about half of rum and the rest soda

  7. a part means equal amounts . . .1 part vodka 1 part gin . . .also a part means 1 shot

  8. for all intense and purposes lets just say that you made your "part" one cup.  Then it would be 9 cups of rum and 15 cups of soda.  If you used a shot glass it would be 9 shots of run and 15 of soda.  If you used a teaspoon, then it would be 9 teaspoons rum 15 teaspoons soda....getting the picture?

They do the directions that way so you can make a single serving or a whole bunch for party...you determine what the "part" is amount wise based on how much you want to make!:)

  9. It could mean teaspoons, tablespoons, cups, whatever you wish. The point is that the parts show you the ratio.

9 parts rum to 15 parts club soda can work either way.

Only do cups if you want A LOT of mojitos made all at once.

  10. I think its proportions. Like if it says one part this and one part of that, its half half.

  11. A part is a comparitive portion.  If you were making a single drink and it was one part rum, 2 parts lime juice, etc. You would maybe say part = one shot.  If you're making the drink for a large amount of servings you might say part = 1 cup.

  12. Part=measured amount.

For the mohitos 9 oz. rum and 15 oz. club soda.

  13. Example   9cups  of Bacardi rum and 15 cups  of soda.

The parts in here the  size  of the measurement.  9 liter  rum and 15 liter  of soda,   I hope this  helped!  Dont drink too much!

  14. Im assuming its a shot

  15. No when it says parts cocktails have a special little metal measurement cup thing which one of those is a 'part'. But I guess you can use any measurement, just make sure you keep the ratio right! :)

  16. Its equal parts. So if the recipe is 1 part rum, 1 part club soda, and 2 parts ice, you would fill the glass to 1/4 with rum then to 1/2 with club soda and the remaining half with ice.

  17. Yes, it's a ratio. All you need to do is figure out how much mojito you need in the end to determine how much of each ingredient to use.

  18. Mean deviation relative to variability  MD/V

(Dealing  with statistical data essentially in the ex it is 15x9/100 and  Club Soda? good  for you  you are  treating  your  Rum well

  19. "Parts" is parts... if you want to make a small batch, for instance, one part would be ,say 1/4 cup. All parts should be an equal measure ment. It is a good way of universalizing a recipe and leaving it up to you how big a batch you want to make...Just remember, all parts are an equal measure...1 part rum = 1 c rum, 15 parts club soda = 15 c club soda? Got It?

  20. Usually that is about a 'shots' worth from a shot glass.
