  1. personally i try to avoid putting it on my resume the vacant time, i arrange it during the time that i still have the  work to avoid those bad times. it's all up to you to make your brain work. i always up to date my resume when it is necessary, because unemployment period will give you bad reputation and more likely interrogations will come in between during your interview. on interviews you have to be prepared for unexpected questions including those periods that you don't expect. your resume has to match to interviews that you might get. in any case what counts is if you are competent enough with the post you are asking or not.


  2. Well, you list all of your employment with start and end dates so I would imagine any employer would be able to fill in the blanks themselves. I wouldn't list out periods of unemployment and I don't think it's required or even expected.

  3. I agree with the first poster, you don't put them on your resume. You do need to be ready to account for them in an interview, because you'll almost certainly be asked.
