When making a webpage I was using a javascript countdown script but when I opened it with internet explorer it always blocks that activex thing, and I have to click on the yellow bar and allow it everytime.

The same script on the website works fine and it atomatically loads without me having to accept anything.

Why is this happening?

  1. Internet Explorer uses higher security settings for scripts running in webpages that are loaded from the hard disk instead of over HTTP. This is to stop them from being able to do unwanted things with other files on the hard disk.
