  1. I got a 2nd job........easy.........people need to get off their @ss and take control of their situation........

  2. hello - selling things is one way to do it.  however, better to understand where your money is going and then cut out the things that are not really needed (and yes, sometimes you do need ot have fun).  Make sure you continuing contributing to retirement if you are, the value of compound interest makes it worth it.

look at what you have coming in, track where it goes (every penny) and then look at how that breaks out.  Do you really need the Starbucks?   Can you carpool with someone once or twice a week to save on gas?  Bring lunch to work?

    good luck

  3. Strictly budget it.

Use the draw down method: how much you can spend a month, say $400, then after 1 trip shopping of $120, you now only have $280 for the rest of the month.  By doing so, you more aware of the situation. CASH transaction ONLY. No credit card at sight, unless emergency.

Shop from a list, not from traveling up and down the aisles. The list must be at least 3 days old. No impulse buying.

    Car pooling.

Spare the HVAC system, open windows if safe, use an oscillating fan instead of Central A/C

No eating out; eat at home with fresher ingredients.

    etc.

  4. Cut down a lot on the stuff I buy.

  5. Clip coupons. Buy only what you can pay cash for and absolutely need. Take the credit card out of your wallet and leave it at home so you aren't tempted to use it. Consolidate your errands to save on fuel costs. Use public trnasportation if you can because it is much cheaper than $4.00+ in gas. Take on a second job if possible. Go to the library for books and movies instead of buying / renting them.
