  1. Newspaper from library. Criaglist. Internet search. Monster.com. Job fairs. Local government job agencies. Unemplyment department. Rents go to a supermarket and get a rental magazine or newspaper. Or drive by apartment hunting by oneself.

  2. monster.com for the job and

    realtor for the home.

  3. For both house and job surf the net, check out local newspapers as well as local magazines and job listings. Not sure what kind of job you are looking for but go to employment agencies for jobs as well as ask local shopkeepers or offices(depends on the job) fill out applications, send resumes. Also you can post in local newspapers about you are experienced in specific field and are looking a job in that area, similarly for apartment too. One good way to look for both is local people, like asking local shopkeepers and neighbors if anybody is renting or hiring. I hope I was able to explain my point.
