When my bracket was replaced they changed my wire size down. Does that set me back?

I had the square bigger wire put in two weeks ago and now I am back to the smaller round wire. Will this add time to how long I have my braces on?

Yes it does, a breakage of a bracket always lengthens treatment time, each down cahnge in wire will set you back a month
