Question:

When my cats clean each other why do they bite

I just noticed when my male and female cat are cleaning each other they nibble on each other does any one know why cats do that?

  1. I have two male cats ( brothers ) and they lay on our bed every afternoon and l**k  and knibble on each other.  It is definately an affection thing, even though sometimes one or the other gets a little aggressice and it end up in a spat.


  2. My cats clean my arm/ leg too... and will nibble ... like there is a tough patch they can't get with thier toung.

    My cats also "mouth" bite me too when they don't want me to STOP petting them.

  3. (If it's what I think you're describing) It's actually a sign of affection (as weird as it may seem!) Our two Siamese do it all the time. :)
