  1. I would think very good. You need to look into foster care. That would be a beginning. Best wishes.

  2. Your chances are very good. In fact, in many states, a child over the age of 7 is considered 'special needs', which makes it much much cheaper to adopt.

It will be difficult to adopt a teenager, my aunt has done it a couple of times, and once it just didn't work out. They come with a lifetime of issues, but if you are strong enough to work through them, you will have made a life so much better.

    Good luck to you!

  3. So you're adopting a companion for your daughter?  Might she prefer a pet

I'm not sure I understand this question

  4. Your chances are staggeringly great.  There are so many kids in foster care you could probably have your choice of a hundred kids in that age group that would love to be adopted.  Just make sure he does want to be adopted.  Some kids that age prefer not to be.  Single has nothing to do with it.  You are just what your county is looking for.  Someone who wants to provide a permanent stable home for a difficult to place child.  I would contact them now and tell them what you want and when and they can tell you when you should start the application process.  Thank you for wanting to share your life and home with a child who needs you desparately.

  5. If your life is pretty stable, I'd say you have a pretty good chance of adopting. There are lots of young teens in the foster care system who are waiting for a good home.

Start the process asap - it takes a while to adopt - even an older child.

    Good Luck!

  6. getting a child 13yrs or older i think will be a big chance because as u probably know...most ppl want toddlers leaving the older ones. which mean u might go thru alot with them and their trust issues. but not always just a heads up.
