  1. How is it she is allowed to work without a green card. Her employer should be deported along with her.

  2. If you get caught with an illegal alien you can be in just as much trouble as the individual.  So you better think about what you are doing.  How is she paying taxes when she is working illegally?  Come on now you are covering for her.  BAD BAD BAD

  3. i hope so man, i really do, but its been really tough for alot of my family to get theirs.... good luck man,

p.s. immigration laws how they r need to change, they expect people to come legally, yet they provide like a 5 year pathway to being legal

  4. she may get deported since she's been here illegally all this time.  Just because you are planning to get married and right after does not make her an american citizen.

  5. Don't marry her unless you want to immigrate to her country of citizenship.  There is no longer any way to "legalize" an illegal alien, not even through marriage.  If you apply for a spousal visa for her, it exposes her illegal status and she will be arrested, deported, and barred from re-entry.  Whether or not she paid taxes (well, at least she did not commit tax fraud), she has violated immigration laws, and if she is using fake, false, forged or stolen ID or SSN to work, she has committed additional felonies.  She could be sent to prison for a number of years before she is deported and permanently barred from re-entry.

The only way you are going to be able to marry and live together is for her to return to her own country immediately and voluntarily, and then apply for your immigration to that country.

  6. No, sorry.  A friend and her husband just went through the process.  Check within INS office.

  7. God bless her for wanting to work in the first place.  I do not know about the legality of her continuing to work, but God bless both of you.

  8. How is she paying her taxes? Illegal cant get a SSN. they wil only issue ITIN which is only valid for paying taxes. but not valid for work. and she cant apply for work with that one. as for her being illegal. how will she get a license to marry if she has no proof of legality.  probably depends on what state it is. anyhow anyone who is here illegaly cannot adjust their status in the U.S. the person will have to wait outside  the U.S ( from her country) if shes been here illegally for more than 3 years actually i believe even if its more than a year illegaly. that person is not eligible to adjust her status here even if shes married to a citizen, and has to wait 10 years from wherever she is. the only way to make it less than 10 years wait is

if the american spouse can prove extreme hardship as in proof that the american spouse will suffer ( im not talking about love coz they dont buy that anymore) ( not even baby) then shes more likely justhave to wait atleast 3years.  OR if they pass the law that any illegal married to a citizen can adjust status without going back to their country.

as for the greencard. once a person has a greencard. the person can work, she or he wil be able to apply for SSN, driver license. and those are the main thing to really find a job. coz driver license actually stand as an id.

  9. This is a sticky issue. She may have her citizenship challenged on  the basis of being illegal despite the marriage.

  10. when you adjust her status, she might get deported since she is an illegal
