  1. Is it a school bus or a city bus?  If it is a school bus, you could  ask the school bus driver to get an older student to walk your child to the kindergarten classroom

Many kindergarten parents bring their child on the first day of school, or another good plan is to meet your child at school, after he has ridden the bus on his own, and escort him to the classroom and then you can meet the teacher.  If for some reason (ie you can't get time off of work) you can't do this, phone the school and ask what the procedure is.   Schools in our area always have a kindergarten orientation in the spring.  If your student has missed that, you could take him to the school ahead of time to check out the place a couple of days before school starts for him.

Trust me, schools are used to kindergarten students.  They deal with these little ones all the time, and kindergarten teachers spend a lot of time teaching routines and showing kids how to manage the day to day life of a school.  Your child is not the first nor will he be the last to be there.  Teachers do not  expect kindergarten students to know much before they get there.

Without knowing your exact situation, I can't give you a definite answer to this question.  Best advice -- phone the school, and see what the procedure is for first day of kindergarten at your school

  2. Usually there is a teacher(s) and aides there to help.

  3. Absolutely, the Kinder teachers meet their kiddo at the bus and take them to the bus to go home
