  1. Hi,

If you want the parents to raise the chicks then don't move the box as the parents will abandon them, don't touch the chicks either as human scent can put the parents off of raising the chicks, and as well bacteria on your skin can kill the chicks.

  2. human scent will not scare off the parents. they (lovebirds) cant smell very well. my lovebirds have had babies a few times and we took them out when they were about a week old and started to hand feed them once a day. Dont take any out of the nest box till they are all hatched and around a week old. Wash your hands VERRRY well first and dont drop them (obviously). theyre very tiny featherless red things at first but after just a few days there bellys get huge!! just be careful and if the mom and dad come out with them just make sure they dont think your gunna hurt them. Our first two lovebirds werent super tame (they would sit on our head or arms but didnt like to be held.) but after we started taking out the little babies they would sit on our leg or whatever while we held them to make sure we were careful. its cute. dont keep them out for too long though, especially when theyre younger cuz you dont want them to get too cold. (mabey just as long as it takes to feed them if your gunna and if you only going to hold them no more then 10 minits if even).

  3. If you don't plan on hand feeding the babies then don't touch it.

  4. after about 1 to 2 month's than you can play with than to be more exact after you see them with there feather's than wait about one more week than you can play with them

your so lucky that you got egg's i got a budgie egg a few weeks ago and it brock your very lucky

    any way hope i help

  5. Leave the box alone! Never bother them at this time at all. Lovebirds will kill their babies if they feel you are interfering too much. Only bother them at 3 to 4 weeks old, when it is time to hand feed if you want them to be hand tamed.
