When my sister went to Scotland there were girls wearing cat ears and tails....what ?

Well, my older sister went to one of the colleges in Scotland for study abroad, while she was there she recalls seeing a good number of chubby/obese/overweight girls wearing faux cat ears and tails, like as a costume. Honestly, I'm kind of bothered, I know its a different culture and all but....wow.

Anywho, want I want to know is,

does this mean anything ?

If so what ?

or are they just crazy ? =D

It doesn't mean anything. They were probably just going out for something. (Not sure what though). It was a rare occasion. Hope this helps.

Lmao, Its not some sort of tradition or anything if that's what you were thinking. I'm guessing it was some sort of dress up party they were going to or something.. I wouldn't say its a normal sighting that one would normally see in scotland.

Honestly though, don't let it bother you, they were just being outgoing and having some fun.

They might have been on a hen night, or going to a theme club or maybe they just wanted to get dressed up for a laugh.

It doesn't matter what weight they were, they obviously felt comfortable doing it so why should it bother you so much?

I've never been dressed like this, but I don't see anything wrong with it at all and don't think that they're crazy.  They obviously like to go out and have some fun.  Would it have been ok if the girls were slim?  Pretty shallow, in my opinion.
