  1. Don't drive yourself crazy, just bring him to the doctor if you're worried about it.

Chances are, if he responded to noises before, he probably hasn't gone deaf just like that.

If anything, I would think because he responded so easily to every little noise, that affected his sleep and now he's dead TIRED.  And was probably in a deep sleep... which he probably needed.  :-)

Just take him to get tested.

  2. I would have it checked out,. First make sure he is awake and then try, He might have been very tired. Ear infections can cauuse things also. Get him checked out and if  its nothing you will feel better.

  3. He could be sleeping hard, but if it is a sudden change and you are worried, call your pediatrician.  That is what they are there for.  Good luck!

  4. Have him tested.

  5. I wouldn't go thinking the worse just yet. See how he acknowledges you when you speak to him when he is awake and see if he responds. If he doesn't then try making sounds from random objects around the house as he might respond to this better. If neither of these work then take him straight to his doctor. However, there could be nothing wrong with his hearing whatsoever and he could simply be becoming a much better sleeper, which if is the case you should be very pleased about!

  6. How old is he? They usually do a hearing test before you leave the hospital.

  7. Maybe he's just really sleepy. Wait until he wakes up and see if he can respond by movement to your clapping, whistling, whatever.
