  1. One stop refers to the fact that your flight number will not change at that particular stop.  Connecting means you will be connecting to a different flight number in a particular airport.


  2. Let's say you're going to New Orleans from Charlotte.  One stop would mean you go straight from Charlotte to New Orleans, however they'dmake a stop in (for example)Birmingham.  You'd stay on the plane though.

    Connecting in Atlanta means that you would fly from Charlotte to Atlanta, then you'd get off of that plane and go to another plane that would take you from Atlanta to New Orleans.

  3. One Stop--Make on stop on your trip but do not change planes.

    Connecting--Make one stop and change to a different plane.
