I'm usually suspicious, so I peek through the peep hole.  When I'm ready to answer, the opportunity is long gone.

depends on the oppurtunity if it seems worthwhile then I'd welcome it if my instincts said no I'd slam the door

Hmmph! With my physical condition, by the time I can get out of my disability recliner and stumble my way to the door to answer, opportunity has already moved on to the next place. Opportunity is very impatient; it doesn't stop anywhere but for a few fleeting moments!And it doesn't wait around for anyone to get everything in perfect order before responding to the knock.

good girl...glad to hear you are waking up..opportunity knocked on my door about 3 months ago..the door fell over...i guess its been awhile since somebody has been to my house..h**l at my age..the mailman knocking would be a welcome..i dont get opportunity's any more...i just get bill's..

Sweetheart, do not slam the door on all guys. Find a friend first. One you get to know that doesn't do c**p like that. Your better than those losers so do not lower your sights on a potential good man because of all the bad men out there.

I did and it turned me back to the one thing I didn't need, drinking again!

Focus on yourself and be happy in who you are andget to know people better with your true friends and ask their opinions too.

As for slamming the door  on the pot heads, please do and may I be the first to buy you and extra deadbolt fot the door!

As for opportunity knocking: I say watch for greeks bearing false gifts. A cool head in thought is better than a hot headed reaction!
