  1. The delivery charge often does not go to the driver, but to the restaurant.

I'll include a link to a site by a delivery driver that explains a lot.

Always tip - delivery drivers usually make minimum wage or less and rely on tips. And if there's a mix up or delay, it's most often the cook/kitchen's fault, not the driver's, so don't take it out on them.

  2. If there is a delivery charge, it would be listed in the total.  That charge pays for the cost of the delivery, not the driver's time and effort.  Slip the driver a few bucks, heh?

  3. You have to tip its not included.

  4. At pizza hut, the delivery charge is now $2, the driver only gets 97 cents.

the delivery charge is misleading because drivers do not get the full amount, while 72% of customers think that we are getting the full delivery charge. So as the cost of gas rises, delivery drivers get pinched on 2 fronts. By the misunderstanding charge, and rising expenses.

  5. You have to tip your delivery person

  6. Delivery charge is usually included in the price and then you tip when food is delivered.

IF you are talking about an item - then no tipping of course
