  1. I tip if they bring it curb side, If I walk in to pick it up I do not tip. Hope this helps P.s. its around 2 or  3 bucks

  2. 2$ is fine.  They didn't take care of you and didn't wait on you.

  3. YES. I work as a waitress and I am responsible for getting your order together, making sure it's all there, the condiments, etc.

People have answered, "they don't serve you"???? Well, then who the ---- does? Isn't is considered serving when I do all of that? Sometimes I do more for a togo order than a sit down table.

I would leave a dollar or two. Depending on how big the bill is. I wouldn't leave 15%, but close to it.

Today I had a $34 togo order, and didn't leave me a dime. I had to get the salad and bread ready, put the order in, take the order, bag it, put salt, pepper, butter, dressings, utensils in a bag, while my tables that were there possibly had to wait? If that's the case, then when I'm able to get your togo order together, then I'll do it. But I'm not like that.

I'm not being mean because of your question, I'm being "rude" because of the people's answers to your question.

I would definately leave a dollar or two. The waitress will make sure your taken care of the next time.

We have a guy that comes in a lot, and he has money, and nobody will stop to wait on him because he doesn't tip. (For a togo order). So whomever he flags down, gets the dirty deed!

  4. sometimes there is a jar by the cash register if so i put money in it - if there is not than i do not worry about it

  5. Plain and simple No! They don't expect it, and are just passing the food along.

  6. I really don't think it is necessary to do that.  It doesn't even depend on the restaurant. They just got your order ready and in a nice baggy. They didn't wait on you, serve you or attend to you as they do if you were to sit down and eat there. So, no  it would not really make sense to tip them.

But if you feel generous with your money, it never hurts. You probably can make their day as the first person who has tipped them for a takeout order.
