    NO that is not mating.  But, it is a social thing for them to do.  They enjoy grooming each other.

    ITS great if you have more than one, they really do prefer to have a buddy.

  3. No.  It's normal for birds to preen each other.

  4. Nope, they are communal birds and it only shows they accept that the other bird is in their flock.
