    New tvs, dvd recorders are now mostly digital, but can receive analogue as well

    A 'digibox' will enable any old tv to receive the freeview digital channels.  these boxes can cost as little as £25.

  3. No hun,the government has a sceam in place for

    pensioners to have a free digi box,others can and

    did buy different digi boxes at  different prices,

    some as low as £14,to convert there televisions

    to receive digital television with little effort.

    PS in places that the signal was weak,people

    also had to buy,or have the out side arial

    adjusted to get a good picture on all televisions.
