Should I tell them exactly what I want, or should I say, "Whatever you want to buy me?" Some people say tell them exactly because it will waste money if they buy you something you don't want. But is it rude to tell them?

  1. Being honest is probably the right thing to do.  If there's something you want, say so.

  2. If they ask you what you want, make it easy on them by saying what you want so that theyll feel better about what theyre getting you and what theyre spending thier money on. They'll know "this is garunteed satisfaction" get it? And no its not rude, if they ask, it means they want to know...

  4. if they ask you what you want for your birthday then tell them what you want!

if they don't ask don't tell them!

  5. If  they are serious...say what u want....!!! if its ok .....also include.... "If u think its expensive dont worry about it "

  6. Why not request a Gift card  to use in your favorite store. It will save the hassle of bringing back the item you didn't want and you can get whatever you please.

  9. it depends on their financial situation.  If it were Donald Trump I would say a new car, if your friend is making minimum wage I say how about lunch?  I like books.

  11. if you were the one asking what would you want the other person to say? Cause that's probably what you should say.

  13. if they ask you say what you want but dont be to spacific like dont say i want a juicy purce say i want a purce but if they dont ask you have your parents tell the other parents to include the gift recept and say you already have a gift like that or make up an excuse it works!

    good luck!

  14. I have that problem too. Sometimes people ask me what I want and I truly don't know so I say nothing unless you have something in mind for me. Or sometimes if I know its expensive I say well its kind of expensive but you did ask what I WANTED so .....

It's not rude to tell them if they asked.
