  1. The fact that they never studied quantum mechanics,

and that if you were to ask them to describe entanglement or what an observation means they most likely can't.

I would also suggest that you not listen to people who think drinking pee is healthy.

  2. Where does any sect/denomination/group, go wrong when trying to support there individual religions/beliefs? I think people tend to want absolute answers to everything, especially there beliefs. Christians say there is a God and God saved the world from sin by sending Jesus to die for our sins. Prove it! Not everyone is a christian. The Bible to the Christians is a source of knowledge to assert their religion. In the same way the New Age ideas are using quantum physics as a source of knowledge and evidence. Truth be told, no religion or belief will be able to garner every ones support. To me this is proof that perhaps none of these ideas or religions are wrong, but rather all of them are pieces to something. Maybe something we will all discover by delving into the depths of science, Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism...etc. As of now most of us are too caught up in wanting to be right and needing to save every one who doesn't believe same. In my studies, I have found that most of the religions, when stripped down to their core beliefs, are all centered around acceptance and love. The whole no religion in politics thing is a little hypocritical. We should be fighting to remove politics from religion.

  3. Religion and science are not opposites, despite people's attempts on both sides to make them such.  A smart religious person recognizes science as truth, and incorporates that truth into their religious beliefs.

If a religious person is insecure in their beliefs, they may feel threatened by science.  Someone who is secure, recognizes that understanding science brings you closer to an understanding of God.

Lastly, existence of God can never be proven.  Nor can it be disproven, and any one who thinks they can use science to disprove the existence of God is as much a moron as the religious nut who maintains evolution didn't happen.

Most people forget that it was a Roman Catholic priest who is credited with the formation of Big Bang Theory.

  4. the part where religion is all a bunch of c**p.

  5. the problem is that they are using metaphors for the scientific knowledge- not the actual math.

the math does not lead you anywhere near religion.

  6. The error lies in misunderstanding the methodology of science. Science tries to attain the root of a law, getting infinitely closer to truth by constantly proving itself wrong. Religion tries to prove itself right and therefore setting up the conditions of an experiment in such way there is only one outcome.
