  1. I still include them, and my kids think I am old fashioned for doing that


  2. Depends on what the URL is. Some I have found if you put in the www it doesn't take you to the right one. The same if you leave it out. So you can't put a percentage on it and it goes to show that you must use the right URL address.

  4. i never put it in and have only come accross about 10 addresses in the last 10 years that didnt work without the www

  5. Adding 'www' is really not needed for a URL today.  Just type in the domain name like 'yahoo' and press Ctrl + Enter.  The server(s) will do the look up and use the correct URL. Using those keys may automatically add 'www' to URL in some browsers.
