  1. In general its 12 to 17 but it depends on person using the phrase such as a woman in her seventies talking about a woman in her forties.

  2. 18-24

  3. I say under 21.

  4. This is sort of a scary question! I'm sure the age range would change over the generations (after all, 50 is the new 30!) but I would think "young woman" would cover from maybe 16 to 25 or 30; "woman" would take over for the in-between stage; and any woman under 55 would likely be offended to be referred to as an "older woman".

And yet 40 years ago, the book In Praise of Older Women was referring to women in their 30s and 40s.

  5. WOMAN refers to an adult female human regardless of age.

In general, it refers to a female after she has transitioned from girlhood, at least physically, having passed the age of menarche.

But some people use "Woman" for only married women.

YOUNG WOMAN refers to an adult female with charming and beautiful personality. It can be "a young lady of 18" or "a female aged 35 with attractive personality."

OLD WOMAN refers to an elderly female, generally a woman of advanced age (woman with 50+ of age)

  6. YOUNG WOMAN: 18 to 30

(when no one takes you serious because your young and naive)

    WOMAN: 30 to 45

(when u start learning from mistakes and can take corrective critism; also when their children ((if any)) are in high school or college)

    OLDER WOMAN: 45+

(when children are grown and have children of their own; near retirement; all that jazz)

  7. i would judge 'young woman' to be from about 17 to mid/late twenties.

  8. I have heard my grand father telling a woman,'Young woman. you'll know better when you are my age'.

The woman was 80 and my grandfather 94 at that time.
