  1. My first thought would be eBooks or lists. Usually sell very cheap, but no shipping!

Could also be reselling things that they know where to buy cheaper online and thus ship straight from their vendor. These would have to be Buy-it-now auctions I would think.

  2. It could be any of these things:

    - they're dropshipping, so they don't have the inventory on hand but the wholesaler where they've opened a dropshipping account

    - they're selling digital products such as ebooks, or services wherein there really is no physical inventory

  3. No inventory could mean a few things:

    a) It could mean digital items which can be delivered

        electronically by email or download.

    b) It could mean dropshipping which means you advertise

products which you have sourced, customers pay you the

retail price, yoou pay the wholesaler their price & shipping

cost & the wholesaler then ships the item out to your

        customer.

Option a) has been banned by eBay due to people selling a lot of open-source (free to the general public) material.

The leader in eBay dropshipping is http://www.doba.com - they work closely with eBay and have a vast majority of products available - prices are a bit too steep for my liking though.

    Hope this helped.
