When petroleum supplies run too low to be cost efficient?

And diesel engines are no longer running on fossil sludge, will new models once again be availible without useless catalytic converters and urine injection?

We will never run out of fossil fuels. The earth and the plants recycle the CO2 into O2 and C which will produce oil.

We pay for fuel more than 3 times of what it costs, since it costs about 2 $ for gallon crude, and we pay nearly 8 $.

so the price of Fuel is determined by taxing.

however, alternative fuel sources could very well work without catalytic converters.

California will still have it.  They'll start saying were putting to much water out our tailpipes and ruining the deserts.
