When piercing your Belly Button...?

Ok, when piercing your belly button, are there any veins or nerves or anything that you need to watch for? And also, how much skin shud you pierce? I love piercings, and I want to be a proffessional piercer, so I'm mostly just curious. ^_^

If you want to be a professional piercer, I suggest you start researching instead of asking questions here.

There are no veins, since the belly button is mostly scar tissue to begin with. (There are capillaries, however.) There are a few nerves, but if the piercer knows what he or she is doing, it won't be a problem.
