This week ive noticed 2 pigeons coming to my balcony more often and realised they have made a nest with twigs and its located inside a box beside my other unused furniture, outside my balcony of my apartment. Im just wondering if they will lay eggs in the future in this nest or are they making this nest only to live in? thnx

  1. The nest is built for the sole reason of laying eggs.  Birds don't actually live in the nest - it's a temporary place to keep the eggs safe while they're incubating them, and while the chicks are young.
