Question:

When planning an event, is this too much to ask

If there's adequate time, please warn those you plan to invite to such things as weddings and cruises as early as possible so fewer people on here will ask how they can lose the weight of a Ford truck in 3 weeks. Is that fair? And if it's your event, maybe you can schedule it later.

  1. Of course it makes sense, but in terms of etiquette it is totally inappropriate.  Not everyone is overweight because they overeat.  Some people actually do have medical conditions or take medications that make them overweight.  I am in no means condoning obeseity or anything of the sort but I can promise you that you putting anything of the sort on an invitation will only land you in a pile of trouble.  Some people are extremely sensitive when it comes to their weight.  Always put yourself in the other persons shoes before you do something rude or indecent.  Why ruin a happy event with such cruelty?

  3. Haha. that was hilarious!haha! If you look on the right of the page you might see an ad for a pickup truck too!aha! (It's on my screen, dont know if it will be on yours!)

  4. Anyone you invite to a wedding or cruise or whatever should be a true friend who can and will go no matter how much they weigh.People's attitude toward looking a certain way is bad enough as it is without having to schedule events around whether or not someone might want to lose a few pounds for it.
