When playing Music files from

When playing Music files from Encarta 2006 deluxe, they play at ( at least) triple speed. Film clips, and music files from their Kids Encyclopaedia work fine. I have a DELL dimesion 5150,with sigma tel sound card and ATI Radeon hd 2400 video card. Any ideas? (I did solve this problem, once before, but I'm damned if I can remember how!)
