  1. If the bad beats are really affecting your state of mind, then just leave and come back later when you are cooled off.  However, if you are able to avoid the tilt factor and there are some seriously bad players at your table, stick around and wait until their bad play pays off for you.  Bad pllayers won't stay lucky forever.

  2. My rule of thumb is 30BB if playing limit.

Variance is a *****. If you are getting bet by bad players who are chasing and catching hang in there and they will go broke.

If I am playing NL I allow 2 buyins per session.

  3. That is just part of poker. I would just not play one single hand until i got some premium hands. If you loose more then 10% of your buy in on just blinds then i would consider walking away but patince is good

  4. Some days the luck just isn't there. In a tournament setting, obviously you just have to grin and bear it, but in a sit-and-play, I give it a a couple of hours tops. Otherwise, frustration sets in and your game suffers. Get up, grab a meal, a nap, whatever and come back later in a freshened state of mind.

  5. When you feel yourself tilting, get up and take a break.

If you're playing well and staying about even even though you're card dead, sometimes it's a good idea to hang around.  If you start getting a good run of cards, people will likely think you're tilting and starting to play c**p and pay you off.

  6. If it's just dead cards, and it's not pushing you off your game, keep playing.

You should always base your decision to stay or leave on 2 factors: how juicy is the game, and how well are you playing.

If you feel like you're ready, rested, and on target, just stay in your seat, occasionally let yourself fish a hand just to stay interested, and ride the storm out.

    --------------------------------------...

I usually don't run bad for extended periods.  Unlike you, bad card streaks COMPLETELY s***w up my game, and as soon as I find myself drooling over a J8 offsuit, I have to go get a beer and wait for the voices to quit yammering in my head.

    Good Luck!
