When playing a game I cannot communicate on with the other player?

I play the game 0f 8 ball online and the other player can type in a message, but I cannot type in a message.

If you enjoy playing pool online you will LOVE playing it for real.  Join the American or Canadian Poolplayers Association where you can play on a weekly basis and meet real people not online people.
