You should strum and pluck with your right and play chords with your left. It seems stupid, since you should be able to use your more functional hand to press the chords, but it's true. I've played guitar for a year and I'm fine. :) Good luck and have fun!

You would usually strum with your right but it is mainly whatever is most comfortable for you.

right hand, ive tried playing it backwards and with my left.......it like cant be done lol its hard once u get used to a certain way

you hold the neck w/the left (thats where you have the fingerings for playing chords/tab.

and then you strum w/your right hand...

the guitar should be facing way from you and with the neck part to the left of you and the body kinda to your right.

I know if feels goofey at first, but this is the way your supposed to play being right handed...and its not too bad after you get used to it.

YOu strum with your right hand and chord with your left. There are guitars made for left handed people and most of them strum with their left.

right hand. Unless you're ambidextrous then it doesn't matter. and If you're left handed i would suggest a left handed guitar :]
