I know that if you call the eight ball in a pocket and it sinks in another one you lose, but if you missed, can you call the 8 ball to sink in another pocket different to the first one you called?

  1. yep you can certainly call it in another pocket and you can change the pocket as many times as you want

  2. yes

  3. I am not really sure that I understand your question. When shooting at the 8 ball you can only call 1 pocket per shot. When shooting any ball you can only call 1 pocket as far as that goes. You can call any pocket on your next shot including the last pocket that you called. Provided you get another try.

  4. Everyone can play by whichever "House Rules" they wish. Just make sure you clarify all the rules before starting.

Personally, I play where you don't ever need to call any shots. Just sink all your type balls and then the 8-Ball is your last one to win.
