When playing jeporady and one goes in to negative amounts do they have to pay the show when the game is over?

No. They just cannot play in final jeopardy. If you notice if a player is in negative at the end of double jeopardy, their booth will be empty before the final jeopardy question is asked. In final jeopardy, you wager what you have, so you cannot go in the red.
